Oil Bag
Not going to lie, sometime I just like to set up easier sensory play where there is no clean up. And today was definitely one of those days.
What you need
- Zip lock bag (x2)
- Oil (I used vegetable, but any should work)
- water
- Food coloring
- rubbers or something to put in the bag (optional)
This sensory play was super easy to do. I added water, a splash of oil and food coloring to the sip lock bag. I then double bagged it and tapped it to his high chair. The oil bag doesn't need to be secured however I found that it lasted for a while on there.
I also introduced a toy car, Lightning McQueen to be exact because we had read the book the night before. He had lots of fun, and to be honest the car didnt stay on the high chair long.
I think next time I make a bag like this I am going to add some rubbers or small toys in there for him to move around.
It seemed to keep him entertained for quiet a while. The only reason why I removed it was because it was hard to clean with the sticky tape on either side and crumbs kept getting stuck.
I have considered getting a second high chair table, however I don't think I would use it enough. Maybe next time ill just leave the bag loose on the ground with him and just make sure he doesnt bite a hole into it.
