Ice Painting
So a few days ago I had a great idea to freeze some colored ice cubes. Its been really hot here lately so I thought playing with some ice might help cool us down. I used a $2 Kmart ice tray which were shaped as fish and I filled the ice tray with 3 different colors.
Now every time I do some sort of messy painting or art I put down butches paper which I have also brought from Kmart, but im pretty sure you can get it from Bunnings and Bigw as well. This paper is awesome for painting and messy play. I usually roll it out and tape it to the ground so Parker cant rip it up (I don't always exceed).
Parker had fun pushing around all the ice cubes, and surprisingly he didn't try and eat them!
This sensory play didn't last that long, but the 40 degree heat was to blame. While the ice lasted he had fun, but it wasn't long before the water ripped through the butcher paper.
All in all he seemed to enjoy it. Its definitely an activity id try again.
