Bread Crumb Doh

So in all sensory fun, I thought it was time to have a go with Doh. Now as much as I would have loves to have walked into my local Target and get Play-Doh, I decided against it for one really good reason. Parker puts EVERYTHING in his mouth.

So I had to make the next best thing. Bread Crumb Doh. This doh was super easy, but also super sticky. Possibly too sticky for Parker to enjoy. But I will go through the details below

What you need

- Bread crumbs

- water

- food coloring (optional)

- a high chair/ plastic container/ bath tub

To be honest I didn't really play much attention to how many parts water to bread crumbs. I am more of an 'ill see how it goes' type of person. But I will let you know that i slowly added more water to get the doh to the constancy I wanted, then added food coloring.

To make life easier for myself I put him in the high chair. This made cleaning up a breeze.

It took him a while to get fully stuck into the doh, like I said before it was possibly too sticky for his liking.

Now of course he did the whole taste testing thing as per usual. But being that this is only bread crumbs, food coloring and water I didn't sop him. One thing I definitely did wrong with this sensory play was add too much food coloring. Somethings I get a little bit too carried away, and this was one of those times. He eneded up having a blue mouth and mustache for a day or so after.

I only managed to get about half an hour play out of the doh, i'm not sure if it was because I picked the wrong time to do a sensory activity or because he just didn't like the feel. But I didn't mind. I had all the ingredients at home and it gave us something to do for the morning.
